I'll admit that some apps broke. However, from what I've seen and experienced all that is needed is a patch from the developers. I reached out to all the developers of the games on my phone and all of them except EA has provided a patch within a reasonable time frame. Some other apps required no patch whatsoever. Must be that those apps don't make any particular calls that don't exist or are not supported in the new OS.
