Specific Errors with Minecraft


"This app can't run on your PC." when trying to play a profile. Please try the following. You will need to open the Twitch App, and head to the Settings. This is the cogwheel in the lower left corner of the app. This will open up your Settings options. Click on the Minecraft tab. Scroll down to LAUNCH METHOD. Change it from Native Launcher to Jar Launcher. and "Loading Versions," not even letting me edit the profile. I tried changing the launcher to Native, but apparently Twitch doesn't allow Native Launcher on Mac. I'm assuming that it has something to do with the macOS update, but after 2 weeks of it, I decided to reach out and ask to see if anyone knew anything. a) Double click to run the Minecraft launcher. b) Click Start, type “task manager” without quotes in the stsrt –search box and hit Enter. c) That will open up the task manager window. d) Go to the Processes tab and in the list of processes search for a process related to minecraft launcher. e) Right click and End the process. f) Once done, close the task manager window.

Pjc21Dec 25, TCTApr 7, I had something similar, recently put my 1. This pack I built up using the new launcher. Go to test it within Twitch, and it always fails to load the native launcher. Had to change the config to use the old launcher, and it loaded fine. You can always make a new instance in the new launcher, and copy the Project Ozone 2 folder over from the twitch install location.


That's what I did, and never had to load up twitch again. Too many layers built in. The FTB launcher was much more streamline. GolrithApr 12, Reddis likes this. Never liked the native launcher. The JAR launcher is far more informative on crashes. Not everything gives a proper crash report, but the info you get in that stream of text from the JAR launcher is far more informative than the pretty much the "launch failed" you get from the native launcher.

Oh, I guess this explains why my "Jar Launcher" seems to be permanently stuck on the announcement that "Minecraft has now released version 1. I guess i recall some notice that the Jar Launcher wouldn't be updated anymore, but I generally don't pay much attention to such things unless and until it forces a change in my old habits.

Jul 28,  · My minecraft is not launching after I click play on the launcher. I have to go to task manager then force-stop 2 minecraft launchers, then I have to click minecraft launcher again. And then without me even pressing play it starts up. and "Loading Versions," not even letting me edit the profile. I tried changing the launcher to Native, but apparently Twitch doesn't allow Native Launcher on Mac. I'm assuming that it has something to do with the macOS update, but after 2 weeks of it, I decided to reach out and ask to see if anyone knew anything. I use the newest blogger.com official launcher (alternative Windows download, without built-in java). After that I click the launcher to load, the cursor indicates that it's loading a file, and nothing happens. As indicated by the background above, blogger.com seemingly closes immediately after the process starts up.
